Threaded heavy fan pull chain through camo paracord sleeve to avoid accidental strangulation from fully secured 550 paracord noose.

Quiet and comfortable now.

Nice!
A Sgt I knew in the service showed me that trick for my dogtags. It worked great for keeping the chain from grabbing stray hairs and also cut way down on the noise.
It is cool to see a picture of how it looks with a knife and that it works for items heavier than dog tags.

It would have been easier if I had been sober but it wasn't that bad. After cutting the chain and the paracord to length I pulled one thread out and tied it to one still in the sleeve and tied the other end to the chain. I kinda had to work it through but it was no problem. I picked up 10' of chain at the hardware store (local) for $0.47 a foot and the fasterers were just pennies.

Thanks for the reply. I was so taken by your idea that I wasn't really thinking too clearly until after I posted my question, and then I thought about doing it the very same way that you describe.

When you cut the paracord don't pull it out until tying the end to the chain, two birds one stone.

Maybe thats what you were saying, if so ignore this post and call me stupid.

I have fingers the size of telephone poles and, if I'm living right, I'm drunk at the time. I need all the extra rope I can get. As long as it makes it through the sleeve 'We have a winner!!'
