Finally Handled a PM2

Dark Blue S110V is the end all and be all PM2 😁

After trying out different spyderco, benchmades, crk etc I have found the pm2 to be the perfect knife for me. So much so I am looking to sell my other knives so I can buy a nice sprint run version. The only issue that plagues me is the size. The size is great but not allowed at my work (over 3").

Needless to say I am anxiously awaiting the smaller version when it surfaces. Any chance they will give out any info on it this weekend?

I agree:thumbup: Although I'm always down for more PM2's. I've also really enjoyed the CTS XHP version and love the black on orange.

They wanted quite a bit for it, so I didn't get it. I might get one in a few weeks though.

how much did they want? Just curious what "quite a bit" in a B&M store is.

I've got two, black/black and satin/digi and I've yet to do anything other than open/close them each about two times. I carry a Nishijin ZDP-189 Dragonfly daily. I guess I just like smaller knives.

The PM2 did feel quite good in my hand, just too big for my daily needs.

Absolutely wonderful knives. However I must correct some people because I hear the word "Sprint Run" tossed around all the time. I also see knives in the exchange all the time that are listed as Sprint runs that are not. For those who do not know, Spyderco does what's called "dealer exclusive" knives which are different from their Sprint run knives. A dealer exclusive is just Spyderco giving only one dealer the rights to sell a certain knife in a certain color and steel. This doesn't make the knife a Sprint run and really there are very few actual Sprint run PM2s, none of which are available to buy right now other than second hand. I see folks listing PM2s all the time as Sprint Runs and pricing them way too high because they are misinformed. The dealer exclusive knives do have a bit of added value because of the different materials used, however they are not as collectible or rare as the actual Sprint run Spydercos. There is an actual list somewhere that shows which knives are which. I can't recall where I saw it, but just be cautious when buying these knives that are listed as Sprint runs. Unfortunately people pay too much for knives all the time on our exchange here because of the misused term "sprint run".

They wanted $170, and they have never had boxes or papers from any other Spydies I got from there. Could you email me at jday2727 at gmail dot com?

Local tactical store had one in stock, handled it, and jday needs a PM2!

You touched it! You're doomed! You will now buy many more.

Go to knifeworks.com where you can buy this PM2 for a reasonable price and free shipping.
