Finally this past weekend I was able to go to mi mailbox in McAllen, TX and I picked up my very first Sebenza ! (Small Classic with African Blackwood inserts).

I should stat that never seen or handling any one live before (just lots of pictures); but reading all the comments on this forums (and of course, the price) I had quite high expectations for this knife...

Boy! saying I was impresed is an understatement... I was "shocked" when I first hold it in my hand and opened it !... is such an experience.

Now I can understand why everybody here have this on such high regards... is an entirely different level of quality, fit, finish and design and everything else... everything on this knife is top notch quality; period.

This knife make all my other knives (and I had a fistfull of really good ones) feels like toys... this is a knife I can have in my pocket for my whole life and never miss any other pocket knife I had have... Is that good to me.

Even, while open, it feels so solid, balanced and ergonomic, that if I had my eyes closed, I could think I'm handling a fixed blade... I swear.

Dimentions are deceiving also.. after initially order it, I was afraid it turned to be so small, because of it stats on paper... but is the contrary, It feels just perfect in my hand; feels larger than it actually is, and also handles better than larger knives I have in that range.

Some pics from seller site (sorry, I can't post pictures here)

I LOVE MY NEW SEBENZA !!!

Congrads! Now carry that knife and use that knife daily as was intended! It is a great knife that will last your lifetime!

Don't let it go! I'm sure you won't, but I traded mine off, but came full circle & ended up getting the same one back (A small classic bocote wood Seb.), on a trade (From a different person that I first traded it to, too).

Sure I do... actually is in my pocket from the very time I unpacked it...

Only thing I'm a bit surprised at is it was not much sharp out of the box.(was sharp but not that much)... I wonder if CRK do that way on purpose or was just mine.

Anyway... a few strokes on my Sharpmaker and stroping on barber leather belt did the magic; now is razor sharp !

I've read your story in another post... funny (strange) thing, isn't it ?... I agree about you should keep it now, no matter what... maybe is haunted; have you ever seen the show: Supernatural ? ;)
