So I've been reading a lot about Busse knives and hanging around this forum learning form all the pros/HOGS. I have never been a part of any online forum, so this is a new but enjoyable experience for me. I really like the community like atmosphere the Busse family has created.:D I'd love to attend Blade, but family and work are going to keep that from happening.:grumpy: I'll shoot for next year. Anyway, here is a pic of my dog sportin the three Busse knives I now have. She like I loves the outdoors. Problem is, I'm stuck inside right now with the flu. Looking to get a NMFBM next, or just wait for the next big chopper to come out.

welcome!

Beautiful pic of your lab:):)

Knives are some of the best:thumbup:

Thanks, I had Pit bulls before this lab, but they couldn't handle the cold like labs.

He must be a mellow dog--one jerk of his leg and he's going to be a few toes short!

Ya she's mellow when there is nothing to go after. I train my dogs pretty tight, so they listen in situations that could be a problem. So I felt good about laying the knives on her. Most she did was give em a sniff.

I don't know where you are, but it must be un-worldly cold. I'm in Alaska on the coast of the Bering Sea, my Principal the first two years here had a pit that loved this place. Of course it was also easily one of the stupidest dogs I've ever seen, and you know what they say: No brain, no pain! :)

Ha ha, Alaska is a place I'd love to go, but I'm in Illinois, and while my last pit was tougher than nails... Was attacked by a 100+lb. German Shepard and even had someone try to break in my house (dog took care of those two issues in a hurry for me.) She just couldn't handle the outdoors. Skeeters would eat up her short-haired belly and she couldn't handle weather below 25 degrees for very long. Nativeson, I've moved into the teaching field as well, so I feel what your doing. I work in an underprivileged areas trying to help kids find a way out of the problems surrounding them.

That's a nice trio already! Welcome to the trough. :D

Hope you feel better soon.

Welcome to the trough, Mike. Glad to have you around. We always welcome people who want to enjoy a cool hobby while building friendships. Not all of us can afford collections like Tony, Jaxx, OP, Mulder, The Bully, Skunk, Knifehunter or Balislinger, but most of us own more than one and 99% of us try to be good to each other.

By the way...Beautiful Lab, brother. What's her name?

Jason

Oh, and I am ALSO a teacher, as is TyrkonLawson.

Thanks Gatman, dog's name is Marlee. Our daughter listed to and danced to Bob Marley a lot when she was 4 and 5 years old. So when we let her choose the new pup's name, she chose Marlee and chose the spelling to be different from the all popular Marley and Me.

That's a cool name for a cool looking dog  Great knives too!

Welcome aboard -

Digging your awesome pooch and the sweet knives. Welcome aboard!

That BAD makes me want another bad. I miss it. The AD design is one of the designs that initially drew me to Busse, that and the First picture I saw of the FBMLE.

You can try for a NMFBMLE, or hold out for a Zilla, or find a FFBM, FBMcg, or FBMLE on the exchange too. They will all be great.

The NMFBMLE is a choice piece. I believe it rather rare, since I have not seen any of them for sale on the exchange. Even the NMFBM is hard to locate! My dad who is a pipe-fitter was blown away at how solid the NMSFNO is. He's seen some knives, but he thought that was one of the heftiest.

That's a well-chosen set of fine knives.

Don't jump on a new one just yet. Let's see what's happening with the KillaZilla first.;)

Teaching? Well ... I used to be a Physics Professor, way back in the 80s.:)

Good range of Busse's you have there:thumbup:

They look great, and so does your Lab. I had a male and female black lab for 15 and 16 years each. Best dogs you can have IMHO....if you can get past that first three years of them chewing all your stuff up, at least mine did anyway.

Thanks for the pic!

I saw that pic of the Killa Zilla and it looks like a true machete! Our trick to keepin our dog from chewin was littering kongs and other hardcore dog toys around the house. I am lucky I haven't broken an ankle steeping on them in the middle of the night.

Welcome aboard. You have a very nice trio there. Pick up a Battle Mistress and I would say you have all your "initial" bases covered. :D

Welcome aboard and congrats on your start there! Hold on tight.....to your credit card    It will be a great ride
