I have been using one as my saltwater snorkeling/fishing/boating knife and it is pretty great. Spyderco makes a deep carry clip for it, btw
 
Nipped in the bud before the food fight starts.

There are lots of threads about MagnaCut and its properties...in fact one that is ongoing at the moment.
And since there is no discussion of actual use by the OP, there is nothing here but the fact that he has decided to buy a knife in the steel in order to find out for himself.
