Its been a long time since I posted anything, or did anything knife related due to work committments. Anyway, managed to complete a couple of these urgently for some military pals prior to being shipped out to the "Sandbox" and I made one extra for myself.

This one is plain ole 1095,about 3/16th inch thickness. Forged only along the edge, concentrating on the belly of the blade for some token "edge packing" and then stock removed all the rest. The edged portion is about 5inches. Flat ground, convex edge. Edge quenched. No tapered tang this time for extra heft and maximum beef on the chiselled buttend point. Still balances on the index finger. Black canvas Micarta slabs. This one has a simple rivetted leather sheath. The military ones were outfitted with Kydex sheaths.

Simple basic pattern and it works. Feedback appreciated. Cheers. Jason.

Fine looking tactical and the "skull crusher" butt end / pommel is a nice touch.

Damn! I've been a long time admirer of your work since joining BF some years back.

From what I see, the length, thickness, ergos, materials and overall design (nice spine notches) would make this one functional too to have on you in the field! Even the sheath appears well made. More power to you and keep it up!

(I dont have money right now so I'll just save the pic in my PC, if you don't mind heheh ;-) )

 awsome work as usual, looks like a great "fighter" simple and effective.

I love that design. Simple, functional and useful. I like the handle design a lot.

Did you leave the skull crusher "soft"?

Nope. The rear 1inch of the handle is quenched and then spring tempered by torch.

Didn't take pics of the ones for the troops. That was an agreement... But I might get tired of this sheath and make myself a Kydex one soon - would be easier to wash out, 'cos I've been using this one quite hard and dirty in the garden lately.

I've got some D2 versions coming back from the HT-er's soon, so hopefully can show those off.

Many thanks for the feedback. Always appreciated. Jason.
