Finally met a EKI Knut!

I met a my first Emerson knife fan last Sunday. We had a great chat, need I say.
He was EDCing a Super Commander and it was well used. Guess which Emerson was in my pocket?

Yes, a Titanium blade CQC7. oooh!
 
Wow... OK, gotta see what that looks like! Jungle Commander can handle it all. I just pick-up a black bladed CQC-13 and it has not left my pocket. I tried other things, but I just keep coming back to EKI for folders. I was thinking about a standard sized commander as well. Or an Appalachian... or a CQC-8... or... it really never ends.

I also creep out random strangers when I spy a pocket clip and get all excited. So rare to find a fellow enthusiast!
Unfortunately, it usually turns out to be a S&WE or Gerber or similar. Bleh.

Have yet to meet an Emerson tho.

With EKI becoming increasingly popular, chances will be better.
It's just so nice to chat with a person who understands the Emerson knife.

Hahaha. I do the exact same thing when I'm on a job! I'll see a recognizable pocket clip and will call them out and guess the knife. Or at least guess the manufacturer.
