It only took ten days, but my BK-16 has finally arrived.

I need to strip it down. I'll probably do that tomorrow when it gets warmer so the stripper will work harder and faster.

I love the handle. LOVE IT! The Tweener grip fits my hand perfectly. I needneedneed a BK-17 and 15 now. Although the black scales are fine, I installed the brown scales since I like the color. I was not, however, a fan of the peanut butter sheen of the smooth zytel. So I fixed it and at the same time made the grip rock freaking solid. That knife is going nowhere in the hand.

stippling!

NICE! I gotta get my soldering iron out!

prolly gonna end up Micartaing my 16, but might as well play with the zytel first

God that knife is gorgeous
I think I need to log off before I spend every cent I have

Wasatchdan, that stippling job absolutely makes those scales. Have you shared the secret of your stippling? It looks very reminiscent to something I've seen done on 1911's.

Thanks guys. You wouldn't believe how easy it is to work grip transitions with the stippling.

Yeah, bemo, I posted how I stipple here. It's a piece of cake. Enjoy.

Your stippling looks absolutely amazing, and I think even better than the BK5 that you did earlier.

Yet another mod that I'll have to do sometime this summer... At least this doesn't require tons of equipment ($5 I can handle, a Belt Sander... not so much).

How long did the smaller tweener handles take you?
