well EKI CQC8/Surefire C2 combo #0093 has a new home, arrived monday PM.

the knife:

very well made/fitted/designed, sharpest outta the box emerson i have ever seen by FAR, very tight lock up, smooth action, have already put my spare skull clip on it, and, shame on me, carried it tonite. i tell ya, this thing is gonna be in my rotation for sure, have to say i like it, at least first impression, better than my SOCFK, which is my baby! the only con i can see is no wave, but i guess the CQC8 custom hasnt got one either, and they wanted a close copy, soo.....but imho all knives bearing the EKI/emerson custom logos should be waved, couldnt cost much to add that little swidget of metal, imho.but overall, very pleased w/it!!

the light:

is a std C2 centurion w/the black HA finish the first SF light w/this finish i do believe, and it looks really nice, if it holds up like the gray (and they say it does....) i bet a lot of black HA SF lights are gonna be out there soon, imho. has the EKI logo and serial # (same as the CQC8) stamped on the side. as all know, the SF C2 is a heckuva light, great for EDC, i will use it since my Z2 is now on my M4.

all in all, a heckuva good combo, glad i waited/spent the $$, it was all worth it!!!!

Oh baby! It was worth the wait! It has replaced my MT SOCOM DA as my duty knife. I'm not familar w/Surefire lights, but am very impressed with this light. It too will be added to my duty gear. (It's brighter than my current firefighting light!) That brings up a question: Does anyone know if the C2 is waterproof?

The C2 is water resistant. It may or may not be submersible. You can try it and if it fails, let it dry out and it will be fine. However, the factory does not guarantee the C2 to be submersible.
