Finally, my first Strider...an SMF

Just got this beast in the mail the other day. It's everything I expected it to be: over-built, oversized, and industrial. The scheme is very military-esque with an aluminum front-side handle. Just love it.

Congrats! The SMF is my favorite knife -- pretty much perfect ergos, size, materials, and build for my tastes. The combination of green aluminum and black blade looks really slick. Excellent choice for your first Strider!

Monkey Edge posted a 2 part interview with Dwayne Dwyer shot during Blade.

Dwayne said they like working with aluminum and it was going to be around for a while.

I wanted the Al frame SmF with M4 that came out in a limited run and missed them.

There was plenty of them at blade, and stupid me got the regular old G10 versions instead of the aluminum. For some reason it took a while for the alum to grow on me, but now it has in a big way.

To think that I could have 3 aluminum SMFs all with M4 steel makes me sick.
