Buck110.1.jpg

back in december i ordered this knife. i just received an email that it is on its way!

they are shipping usps too. :D

we shall see what i think of it. this is the first buck i have held on to since i was a youngin'. i don't know why i caught the buck bug, but i HAD to order a custom 110.

i will post up some real pics once it is in my hand. :)

Thats a nice looking combo of materials! I like the contrasts of colors.

I did have to shake my head though...look at when they said the 110 was introduced....1962.:rolleyes: aye caramba!
I need to get that fixed.

hey guys, i just got my knife. it took almost 8 weeks from order to door. they must have been busy this holiday season.

the knife is beautiful and razor sharp. the sharpness really amazes me.

i have one qualm though, the blade is off center. this is my biggest pet peeve when i am buying a knife. i am sure it is within spec for quality control, but it is all i see now when i look at the knife. does anyone know if there is anything buck can do about this?

i know i could just call and ask, but i am also wondering if this is common on buck knives. it has been almost 20 years since i have even held one in my hands.

I have 2 on order myself. One from end of Dec and one from early Jan. I do have an older BG42 and it has the blade a bit off center also. I have never really embraced it because of that. It doesn't rub the liner but almost. They would probably make it right for you if you are unhappy. I never did anything about mine so no fault of Buck. The knife is beautiful otherwise. I hope my new ones are 100% though. The cost has went up a bunch since I ordered my first one.

i ordered mine in the beginning of december and i just got it today. i emailed them when it might be completed and they said that they had a lot of orders over the holiday. that slowed them down, no biggee.

i decided to open and close mine a lot. it was pretty stiff when i took it out of the box. she needed a good polish too. after about 100 open and closes the blade actually drifted substantially more towards the center. there must have been a good sized burr stuck in there. it is not dead center, but pretty darn close. i am now able to live with it. who knows, it may center up even more with time. you should give that a try with your bg42.

i will post up some pics soon. this knife is beautiful. the in-pocket sheath i got from jack works amazingly. i do not even notice it in my pocket.
