Finally ordered a Damascus blade. How long?

Well, after looking at all of the Damascus photos lately I couldnt take it any longer. I ordered a raindrop for my small micarta. I may order a spirograph for my large later on too.
My question is....how long does it take to have just the blade made? I was told a year today by CRK.

At Blade I was told about 6 months for my Mnandi damascus blade, but that was a rough estimate so it could be longer. Patience is the name of the game. You will get it, you just don't know when. :p:thumbup:

How much did a re-blade cost you? It's something i'd like to do, when the time(funds) are right.

I want to say $285.

Aye, my Mnandi blade will be about the same I think. I can't actually remember the exact number. :foot:

I ordered a large ladder around Jan of 2010. I was told about a year. Just got an email today saying it was ready. :) So as they say, patience is key.

I've been waiting for like 5-6 months with no word from CRK yet. I'll probably give them a call soon to see if theres any updates.

It took me about 3+ months but i was lucky and picked a pattern that was to be produced next. They produce them in batches from what Heather told me.

I ordered a sebenza a while back...double lugs/polished blade etc, and they said three weeks....took about two months.

I ordered a raindrop/micarta this past April, and they said a year, so patience is key:)

I am interested in ordering a Damascus with wood inlay and understand there is a long wait, but do I have to pay for the knife now?
