Finally ordered another Custom Shop 110...

Big deal, huh? Well... it's been a while. Blame allenC & Planetcat - they had to discuss - and display - an S30V/blue Dymondwood/NS/rivets 110 - just what I 'thought' I wanted as an S30V 'user'. Maybe it will see some use, something my orange Fiji wood/BG-42/NS 110 hasn't... it was deemed to be too neat, despite the reasonable $84 cost then, to marr in, excuse the thought, real use. That's what 'users' of 420HC were built for, wasn't it? Only my oldest of such shows wear. I guess this new knife, at the massive $2 more than that previously ordered 'user', may get some use.

Who am I kidding - every knife here is a user - especially so if it's a 110. My teardrop Damascus/NS/flaming Koa is a fun EDC, for example. I look forward to this S30V 110 - it'll join the AG 110 here now - and represent half of my S30V 110's! Thanks for the pix - and nudge - Buck-guys!

Oh - it's been over two years since I ordered a CS 110, the last was made of BG-42. What happened to Pete M.? Randy seemed nice... just wondered about Pete - he was always first class with me. A young lady at his # said 'he is no longer with us', and I wondered, did he leave horizontally or vertically??

Hopefully, the brown shirt delivery guy will have me a goodie by Christmas.

Sorry man. Think of it as an early "to me, from me" holiday gift. Just think if the custom shop had more options for knives, blades, and extras, how many more orders they'd get, too.

I just don't think I could make myself cut anything tougher than a tomato with that one. :o

Well I'm in the same situation. This beauty has been sitting in the EDC box with the other 110's for a while and I just can't bring myself.

Hey Stainz your Fiji 110 has always been one I liked so today I ordered a S30V/NS/Rivets/FG Fiji from the Custom Shop. Gonna be a good Christmas.
 
Well, I called Randy re another 'problem', just to learn that my CS 110 was shipped 11/19! He said give it until Monday to get here, due to the holiday. Fast!

Oh - the other problem... my card. I used my CC, called in to avoid web 'exposure', to buy a lawn mower via A****n 6/09. Several days later, a Sunday afternoon call from my CC bank fraud dept - that card had received $32 of music downloads. They suggested cancelling that card - which I had for over twenty years. The replacement card was sniped last Sunday, causing another call and cancelled card... several days after a vacuum cleaner purchase from A****n. Both purchases from that vendor were my only purchases from them of a $100+ item. Be careful! Sadly, Buck waited until Monday to charge my then dead card... oops.

Oh - good news - the replacement cards won't get here until Friday or Saturday PM - too late for those Black Friday sales... have to stay home - and watch the Auburn-Alabama game!!

I got back from the store yesterday afternoon to find my UPS delivery resting on my stoop - in the cold rain. Shipped 11-19 - delivered 11-30! Ordered 11-12, so it took a lot less time to make than it did to get here - weird!

Great knife - perfect build - everything fits perfectly - looks great. The edge was not quite up to the AG110 in S30V, after some use since new, or the other Custom Shop 110's, in BG-42. Very useful edge - great paper strip cutter, just not a dependable arm hair razor. The labels on the blade are very subdued, too - I need 'the right light' and magnification to read them as they are lightly done, too, where the older 110's were deeply imprinted. Still, I am happy, despite my wife's remark last night, "I never thought you'd like a blue knife!". It will be a handsome and approriate addition to my EDC rotation, for sure.
