Finally ordered my first ever Recon 1 !

I have tons of CS but for some reason just never got any of the Recon 1 folders . Think maybe the old pre-DLC black coating was a negative and I just never updated my attitude until recently . Been meaning to grab a CTS-XHP model while I still could .

$63.49 for a brand new 4" bladed spearpoint serrated Recon 1 . Pretty happy with that ! :)

Also got a Mini AK-47 folder in XHP on order and coming soon ! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:
 
I have a ton of very expensive knives, but no matter what I always end up with some sort of flavour Recon 1 in my pocket. One of the best large folders ever made IMO, you'll love it. And if i HAD to choose to only keep one, it would be my satin blade spearpoint.
 
Every time I get a new folder, it rides in my pocket for a while. Then I pick up my XHP Recon 1 Tanto, and wonder “why did I stop carrying this?”. Then back in the pocket it goes...
 
Love my clippoint Recon 1. I've got many knives in my collection but this is my favorite one. If I could only keep one knife, it would be this one. Great knife for EDC, Hiking, Camping etc.

looks good enjoy 'er.

now just smooth out the g10 under clip and bend the clip a bit so its still snug but not a pocket destroyer.

Thanks for the pictures! Very impressive set of slashers you have there!

Glad you like the Recon 1. Now you just need a plain-edge version for utility carry....

:) The full serrated spearpoint version was the best deal by far or I might have got the PE . I usually carry a PE user and a SE for emergency / SD and backup . Might try actually using one of my CTS-XHP serrated just to see how they hold up . Wish I had a better way to sharpen them than that little Lansky dog bone. :confused:
 
With its great ergonomics, strength to weight ratio, and fit and finish, my Recon 1 might well be my favorite large edc. Throw in the low price, and it s one of the best deals on the market.
