Finally Picked Up a Large 21

TBH, this was mostly prompted by a fear of loss with the inlay micarta 21s disappearing pretty quickly from retailers, but definitely happy I finally pulled the trigger. I was looking for a more common micarta color, but now very happy I could only find the exclusive red micarta. I think it looks great in person and I'm betting it'll look better over time.

I watched a review video that warned people NOT to get a 21 because they would be scared to use it since they're going out of production. lol

One thing that's a little unexpected is that I noticed some grooves on the outside of the lock bar cutout. I don't see those on my small 21 or my Umnumzaan. I highly doubt it would have any impact on its functionality. Is this a common thing on some 21s?

BRAVO, its always nice to see another CRK guy on hear, I own the same knife only with black Micarta inlays, and its the best 21 I own to date.

My small insingo 21 with micarta has those grooves also. Glad to see yours getting put to work

Correct, they use the same slabs on all inlay models, the grooves are the defining point between the polished part of the slab and blasted part. The micarta inlays are fully blasted.

Great knife and really nice setup of the CRK! I am also was influenced by the discontinuation of 21 model, I like the shape of the inlays on the 21 the most, so week ago this two beauties joined to my gang.

Nice knives! I was also inspired to get a 21 before they disappeared. Then got a 31 a couple weeks later. In for a penny I figured...

Those scale grooves are on both my small 21 and small 31.
