OK folks, here it is!

Earlier this year, we announced an upcoming collaboration with Master Bladesmith, Jerry Fisk. We promised Jerry that we would not show pics of the proto's until they met his ULTRA HIGH standards. We have achieved that goal:)

Now for some specs and delivery info on the knife!

First, this collaboration represents the beginning of a new line of knives under the CAMILLUS banner.....

OVB

The OVB [Our Very Best] was orignally a line of traditional pocketknives made by CAMILLUS pre-WW2. They are considered the some of the most collectable knives ever made by CAMILLUS, and certainly some of the highest quality. We have decided to utilize the OVB trademark for a line of knives that will be of the highest quality, and very importantly, all very traditional. What CUDA is for our modern, "tactical" collaborations, OVB will be for traditional knives.

Bone, wood, stag, carbon steel, and BEST quality.

We chose Jerry, Master Bladesmith, National Living Treasure, and all around GREAT guy to lead off this new line of knives with what he is best know for...a traditional Bowie knife. We learned ALOT from Jerry. We are STILL learning. Without a doubt, he is Da Man. Jerry has been a real taskmaster for us, driving us to new levels of quality. Quality and performance. Working with Jerry is a honor.

On to the knife!

The FISK designed OVB Bowie is based on his ever popular COMANCHERO Bowie. Here are some specifications of the OVB Bowie....

Blade: 7.5" 0170-6C Carbon Steel, .188" Stock.
Handle: Stabilized Fiddle-Back Maple.
Finish: Satin.
Sheath: Leather with traditional "Frog-Stud".
Suggested Retail Price: $279.95

The knife will be shipped in a zippered pouch for storage, since you wouldn't want to store a carbon steel blade in a leather sheath. The knife will be limited to 500 pieces with this handle material this year. They will be serialized and dated. The serial number will be engraved on the lower leading surface of the guard.

More than half of the knives were sold "sight unseen" to our dealers. Act fast to reserve one today!

This piece is gonna set a new standard for collaborations. This is an OUTSTANDING knife!. :D

Stab
It is even better when held in the hand. I am impressed that they kept wanting to finish it instead of throwing their hands up. The knife should have been enrolled in frequent flyer miles. The Camillus people are good to work with. I am honored to work with them cause they did have a bottom line. Quality.

This one even has me excited. Congratulations for rising to a tough challenge guys.

Will, The OVB line will be all "Traditional" knives??

It's about time there is more to life that Rambo wanabe
tactical knives that get all the attention. HOORAY!!

Will - I sure hope this is going to be a regular offering! The 500 limit is per year or per handle material?

Will,

I can't believe I missed this! Awesome!

Jerry,

Amazing -- just from the pic, you can see the quality. Gorgeous design. I'm a Bowie fanatic, so I'll be getting one of these, too!

Broke but happy,

Brian.

Which dealers have the bowie in stock? Can we purchase on today, right now?

Hey GUYS

IF YOU THINK IT LOOKS GOOD ON THE CRT WAIT TILL YOU HAVE ONE IN YOUR HOT LITTLE HANDS! I HAD A CHANCE TO CARESS ONE AT THE PLANT AND IT CAUSED MY PALMS TO GO MOIST AND MY WALLET TO LEAP FROM MY POCKET. IT IS FLAT GORGEOUS AND THE BALANCE FLAT PROVES THAT FISK IS A GENIUS IN SHARP STEEL !!

IT IS A GOTTA GOTTA GOTTA HAVE !!!

IT LOOKS REALLY FINE JERRY !!

ENJOY!

FF (and everybody else),

I don't think it was mentioned but delivery is scheduled for mid-February. And you are all right, what an AWESOME KNIFE!!!!

Jerry,

I was truly amazed at the feel of the knife last summer at the Blade Show. When Will showed it to me I was expecting a much heavier feel and the feel of it truly amazed me.

The gang at Camillus has truly done an outstanding job with this piece, thanks in no small part to you keeping them on the straight and narrow. :D

If anyone wants to own a Fisk that couldn't normally afford one of your customs, this piece is REALLY as close as they can get.

Super job Jerry, Will, Camillus. Again, this piece sets a standard.

Cheryl:

Well I've taken the plunge. My order # is 1549. Any choice of serial number?????

BTW I grew up in Syracuse (well actually Fayetteville); I'm a CBA / LeMoyne product working for Uncle Sam as a civilian now that I'm retired from the Navy.

Cheers!

Will:

I gotta get back in regular touch with you. I would have HATED to have missed out on this one!!!!

Wow, that is a beauty!!!!

What other type of knives are planned or considered in the new OVB line?

I welcome too the refreshing idea of using more natural materials.

Thanks, Camillus...

HM

bald1,
I believe the way Camillus handles the serialization is on a first order, lowest number basis. It's really a crap shoot. Quite honestly, with about half being sold at last year's Shot Show, the question might be - Can I still get one?? For now, the answer is yes.
