Finally!! Pig sticker

Finally got this pig sticker assembled. :grumpy: :grumpy: Blade is canister welded Damascus scrap with file work on spine, fittings wrought iron, handle wrapped copper wire and stabilized dyed elk with copper spacers. OAL 13 ½” blade 8 ¼”.
 
Vary nice.
Is there any safety recomendations when doing canister damascus?

Only George would think of that! George, that's a beautiful knife. I really like it, fella. Ol' george put a lot of sweat and elbow grease in what some may call a pigsticker. I would call it a beautiful and wicked looking dagger, George.

I don't know about safety, but I aways leave a vent hole in the canister and spray some WD-40 to burn out the oxygen.

Very nice, did you copper some of the blade or is it just the how the picture turned out? Either way I like it.
 
Well that was worth waiting for! Lot of nice details - I like the curve in the bottom of the ricasso and it looks like the guard has a lot of points and curves too. Way to go IG, thanks for sharing.
