Finally pulled the trigger

The Delica is loved by many, and VG-10 is a good steel.
You should be very happy with it...
 
Make sure you've got plenty of bandaids in the house (keep a few in your wallet too).
 
Do you have any prior spyderco experience? Did you choose the delica because of it's size or?
 
I started my quality journey some years ago with the the bog brother, the Endura. Chose the zdp steel, but have used vg10 since and been happy.
Enjoy it.

Yes, I have much older Endura w/thumb hole and I am used to the flick of the wrist for ease of deployment. The size was a concern, 5 nights a week I have to drive up to Chicago as FedEx has there Main HUB (Terminal). Here downstate there are no restrictions on blade size. Up in Chicago/Cook County, they live in some alternate universe. So outside of Cook / Chicago, you can pretty much carry anything as far a blade length, of course, switch blades are illegal throughout the State. So will call this Delica my 'WORK KNIFE'. ;)

Not sure about pictures, yet anyway. I tried posting pictures over the weekend of my new Hapstone v7 Sharpener but had no luck. I know there is a thread on this very subject but it is still not working for me so I dunno??? I used to use Tapatalk in other forums which worked seamlessly for me anyway so....

I use imgur and it works great. Just upload photo to Imgur, then share by copying “direct link” or the like, and paste into photo upload in your post here. Easy as you get. Looking forward to it, brother.
 
Very solid knife:) I have had an Endura in VG-10 for the better part of a decade. Great folder, and I could see the Delica being even handier.

Thanks for your help but I was only permitted to post the link to the photo but not the photo itself, for whatever reason. At least it's more than what I could do over the weekend but still would love to figure out why no actual images are being posted?

Chicago's a funny place. You wouldn't think a city with the murder and gun violence rates that they have would be worried about blade length on folding knives. Bigger fish right?

Did the link end in .jpg, .gif, etc? If not it may have been a url to a page where the image was displayed, but not a url to the image itself.
 
I like the discontinued caly 3.5 in laminated zdp! You can see the zdp all the way to the top, but it’s clad with 420J2. I started with the endura in aus8 but own 3 in vg10. Maybe its a gimmick but that zdp cuts like a laser! Haven’t got a delica yet, someday. Waiting for a price drop on the shaman, or a version in cruwear. Congrats on your first spyderco! Btw there’s a website that sends out a plastic case full of bandaids with every purchase
