Here are a couple hawks i just got back from Will Nease (he ground a bunch of my blanks and did a sick job). i still need to grind the spike, and probably re-make the scales. The hammer pole is stacked up to give you a 3/4" wide hammer and is removable.

Dude, those rock. So does your Gold membership. Shows commitment to the forums here and not a just a guest here.
The bowie, I'll will buy if you sell it. Thumbs up:thumbsup:

Like the knife

I also like the knife.

But getting back to the poll on your hawk, have you considered extending it beyond the handle and tapering it into the bit so that it's not a catch point? I'm thinking the bolt-ons would remain full thickness past the handle, then taper. Do you think that would be an improvement while still being doable with flat stock?

Thanks guys,
I didn't make these with splitting being the main purpose they are small and slim so even without the hammer bits they wouldn't split well, but they are easily removable with an allen key. The bowie is mine lol i wont be selling that anytime soon.
I thought about making the hammer bits a little wider and beveling them but i think that would be more of an ascetic change not much of a functional change.

Not for me at all, but they appear to be something that you'll have no trouble selling.
From the other examples of such things I have seen pictures posted of, these seem like they'd be just as good as everything else out there.

That Bowie you have is awesome btw, I have no need to own a large Bowie knife such as this but I can sure admire how nice it looks

I dont think someone needs to need an item to own it lol ivw wanted a big mean bowie for years.

I think the Bowie is awesome and I understand wanting one for sure. I think one is on my list of things to make next.

yea they bolt threw i drilled the holes as close as possible to the screw size so there is zero wiggle, plus its completely stripable i can take off everything to clean or make modifications.

Lovely bowie, my old Pakistani western outlaw doesn't compare to your piece of art. Where can I buy those bolts and what size are those? Thanks

i dont remember the size exactly but i got them from fastnel and they are stainless. i grabbed the drill sized for tapping the holes and the next size up for the corresponding threw hole.
