After listening to Ian and others rave about theirs, I wanted to get one for a side by side with my MS. Well, after doing a Busse/Busse trade (thanks Jaime) I now have an early production AD. Bead Blast (which I like better than satin), with black grips with a touch of green towards the back, and a nice BB pocket sheath for it.
I LIKE IT! Even though it is very close in size to the MS, the blade/grip shape seems to be better suited for the more common cutting tasks. Also, the thinner blade is definately the winner in the slicing dept. The MS is .25 thick, and stout enough to pry up a manhole cover, but that same thickness works against it in the slicing area, or say for opening boxes where the opening is narrow.
Now to work it into the EDC rotation without fights breaking out. I normally carry 1 fixed and a Sebbie (for the sheeple), but this thing with a almost identical blade length/shape of the Sebbie is still about 1/2" smaller than the Sebbie opened! And a bit thicker blade of INFI to boot! I may re-think the Sebbie here. People do freak out when I pull the SHBA out, so it stays put for the most part. I'll have to see what the reaction is to the AD. I'm not a big folder fan (both thumbs have been dislocated), and the Sebbie is the only folder I own. Still, I have to flick it as the thumb won't go all the way around to open.
Now for the fun part. Time to go start cutting stuff with it. Going to make a stew today, so maybe I'll attack some veggies with it.
