Thanks to BF advice and Spyderco sharpmaker, finally got a user and abuser razor sharp again! My Bradley Alias II Auto is definitely one of my favorite edc's in my collection as the wear and tear shows!

Finally after some trail and error, time, and patients I got my baby back from the dead. Couldn't even cut paper before but is shaving hair now! Couldn't be happier, like having a new knife all over again!

Congrats! It's absolutely satisfying knowing that you can sharpen that thing again after it gets used and dull.

That's great! Nothing like a sharp knife you know you can get as sharp again after using it a lot.

Good job. Now when you start realizing that it takes you super long to reprofile the main edge with the Sharpmaker, start thinking about investing in an EdgePro.

Congrats!

Keeping it sharp won't be a big deal now that the new bevel is set!

Best part about setting a new bevel, once you have getting it back to razor sharp is just a small touch-up process.

Definitely... Congratulations. Getting a knife shaving sharp is harder than it seems from a noobs perspective.

I have never used the sharpmaker, but I remember when I got my lansky, at the time I couldn't hand sharpen at all. I got my first knife shaving sharp and for some reason all the boxes in my house turned into small pieces and my knife kept getting dull. It's like those two are connected :D haha.
Now a year later I reprofile with the lansky still, but touch up by hand. I can get close to mirror polish by hand now.
