The cardboard age is over for Chang, I've recently started working with real steel.

kingwood.jpg

1095 steel, Kingwood handles, 360-brass fittings, black leather sheath. Blade is about 4-3/8" long.

tulipwood.jpg

1095 steel, Tulipwood handles, stainless steel pins and thong hole tube. Blade is about 4-1/2" long.

What do you guys think?

Nice lines, Chang. The Tulipwood is nice looking. Keep up the good work! I guess this means the Chanbenzas are collectibles now huh? And I never got one :( :D

Hey Dex:

I had the last Changbenza on order with proprietary CHANG-board handles and Changmascus blade. Eric told me that he no longer will deal with the rats who deal in proprietary Chang-board, and due to difficulties in making changmascus, my order would be changed to micarta and D2. :)

Huge step from the cardboard age to what you're now making ! It's not only a sign of true grit. . .but a sign of true dedication !

You've come a long way. . .hats off to ya. Keep up the great work ~ and dedication.

Very nice Chang. I wish I would have picked up a MicroChang UDT(Urine Disposal Team) when I had a chance. Aftermarket prices are crazy on those.:( :p

Ah, I see :) Damn red tape in the knife industry!!! :D

Nice job, Chang. I've graduated from cardboard myself. Now I'm working with plywood. It's true- I make all my prototype blanks out of wood, so I can make sure it works good in the hand. I have a real knifemaker do the steel work for me for now.

Anyway, dandy looking knife. Keep up the good work!

:D :D :D Oh My :D :D :D

Nice looking work Chang. Keep it up.

Nice work Chang...thanks for the pictures...

Does tradition count for nothing in this commercialized age ???

At least you're off to a great start with the steel. :D
