My BK14 is not completed, yet. The scales will be added when the latest BK11 mod is finished. I will add scales to both knives at the same time. The 14 gets Micarta and the 11 gets walnut. I used a Sears Craftsman 2x42 belt grinder for shaping the outline. Next, I will be stripping the knife, cutting the swedge, and bringing the metal to as flawless a finish as I can, then scales. The cutting edge is one continuous curve and that same theme in incorporated into the full length of the spine and handle.
The excellent work of tjswarbrick and Granitestateofmind, both fellow Beckerheads, pushed me to get moving. Thanks go to both of you.

Looks awesome already. A lot like hhmoore's 16. Very sleek, stylish and subtle.
I'm anxious to see how this one plays out.

I think my second WSKTS is about to die - heard some worn-bearing noises last night. Was planning to replace it with the KO edition. But maybe I'd be better served with a Craftsman or Porter Cable desktop belt grinder.
But I do like those worksharps for quick edge touch-ups. I'm afraid they'll be edge grind-offs for a while on a biggie.
Plus I'm running out of room.

Oohoohooh, this is exciting! How do you like that grinder, hawk? Mine's making me think "hmm....what could I do now that I have a grinder?"

I'm really liking all these 11 mods. I really love that blade shape!

Hi Gsom, For me, the grinder is only a profiling tool. Once I draw the shape, I can make a smooth outline. As long as I work within a narrow set of parameters it suffices. It does save me quite a bit of hand filing

Thank you everyone for looking and all comments. The blade shape on the 11, specifically the cutting edge, has a Spyderco influence and will have a full convex grind. The 11 and 14 are both fine knives, but I find the 11 does fit my hand better when slightly modded along the lower grip. I can't believe I overlooked the great little knives for so long.

Looking good my friend! Glad to see you back in the workshop making awesome mods. Your stuff always turns out so nice! That 14 and this 11 will be a nice little pair!!

And Man I think I want in on the action now, this is three awesome 11 mods in the last week or so Between Yours, TJ's and Granite's.

Great job Hawkhead! I am looking forward to the completed project.

Hi Dex, I'm moving slower these days, but happier now that I am working on my Becker projects. I will be posting comparison pics of the 11 and 14 to show the difference in blade shapes. TJ, Granite and Derek and others have done quite a number of mods to these fine small knives and they are the members who influenced my decision not to pass by these knives. I know you are the BK16 King, but I agree, it is time to see you take on an 11 or 14.

Outstanding job! Can't wait to see it dressed up (not that there's anything wrong with showing it naked).

Yea Hawk, I have 6 11s and use 2 of them everyday. I never really saw the need to mod them since they are so perfect, but after seeing all these extreme 11 mods, I now want to do my own interpretation. Oh, I do have an awesome handle mod for an 11 that I have been sitting on for a while now, Once I am sure that it will work the way I want, I will let the cat out of the bag. lol

Glad you are feeling a little better and are able to get working again. I know modding my Becker's get's me in a great mood. Take care Hawk.

Here's a comparison picture of both blade shapes. The swedge on the 11 is also a bit longer.
