Been talking about adding a 16 to my ever growing Becker family for about the last 6mos now.
I was at a local gun show yesterday and one of the vendors had a whole table of Beckers and KaBars. Made her an offer she couldn't refuse, (about $10 less than she was asking), and walked away with this thing of beauty:

Lots of great knives at that show, (lots of tables packed with "Bud-K specials" too, disgusting!), and it gave me an opportunity to handle some knives I've only seen on the interwebs.
One guy had a table full of ESEEs, Tops, and Bark Rivers. Have nothing bad to say about any of them, but I will say, nothing quite feels like a Becker in the hand.
Way back when I was looking for a rugged, hard-use knife to replace my beloved USN MK2, I had narrowed it down to an ESEE 6 and the BK7.
There are no brick and mortar stores around here that carry ESEEs, so the one Becker I had handled kind of sold me on them.
Yesterday, I had opportunity to handle almost the complete ESEE line, from Candiru to Junglas. Nice knives and all, there's nothing wrong with them, and I'm sure I'll own one or two someday, but it reinforced why I love Beckers so much!
I will say, the Bark Rivers were quite the pieces of art. Most were just so tiny though...they reminded me of kitchen paring knives, and I didn't see anything special enough about the Tops to warrant the ginormous price tag...
Like I said, they're all fantastic knives, I'm sure, but I'll take a Becker any day! (And twice on Sunday!)
