I was about ready to give up on finding a small knife I really liked . I carried a dragonfly for about a year really liked it except maybe a bit thin in width didn't have any liners but that was ok back lock was not my favorite. Tried others Techno,CCT, leafstorm, some Bokers but thought a choil was a must on a small knife .if your thinking about a small knife give the Cat a look . what's your favorite small knife.

Personally, I really like my Dragonfly 2 Salt. Choking up into the choil makes the ergos almost perfect for my hands.

The Dragonfly G10 is my favorite and my most carried small knife, however, I own a Cat and a Chicago and both of them replace the Dragonfly on occasions. I like them both...Cat being a little larger and Chicago being a little smaller. I also like the Squeak slipit. About the same size as the Chicago but lighter and lockless.

I have a Dragonfly G10 and a Cat, both great knives. I also picked up a Byrd Tern which is a slippie, very similar size to the Cat. All of the m get pocket time. Had the Cat with me today.

I love my Cat. I originally bought one as an inexpensive knife to carry traveling. If I lost it, I would not be as upset as with a more expensive knife. But, I wanted a Spyderco. When I got it, I was shocked at the quality. The fit and finish was as good or better than my more expensive Spydercos. Someone took time de-horning/smoothing every edge, even the liners and the back of the blade. It is near perfect. The G10 is fitted and rounded perfectly. Everything about this knife looks and feels like it cost 3 times as much. Though I love my G10 DF, the Cat sees a lot of pocket time.
One more thing I like about it...since it is 440C, when it gets dull and I am in a hurry, I simply run it though the kitchen crock stick sharpener a couple of times and it is back to shaving sharpness.

I much prefer the Cat to the the Dragonfly series knives, and I like mine so much that I had it customized a little (awesome ivory paper micarta scales by BF user spketch):

Oh, great, now I'll need to get one of those, too. :)

Very, very nice. I might add, that the entire knife just really looks nice. Did I mention that? :)

Those scales make that one classy looking Cat, and be careful if she bites you that 440c comes razor sharp from factory. It's a nice carry knife not to heavy and just long enough to get a good grip. One draw back if you are into lanyards the lanyard hole is really small.

I too agree about Cat is very good model.

Pros:
* The size fit me well. My wife's DF2 is tad bit too small for me. With 50% Spydie choil, it fits very nicely. Blade is thick enough.
* It is fairly inexpensive, and nice to have multiples of it. I even carry one inside of the house :D

Cons:
* Now a days, 440C seems inadequate. I wish it is more wear resistant. I feel like I am sharpening / stropping this every week. (May I should be using S30V blade instead :p )
