Months ago, I got a Cold Steel Dropped Forged Boot. I wasn't happy with how¹ asymmetrical it was. Y'all asked for pix. I finally got a chance to post some.

They are very , very strong , tough knives at a value price . Users / beaters .

Drop forging is not as precise as CNC machining. For a drop forged knife, yes, you are being too picky.

I agree with DocJD. Not intended to be a show piece.

Luck of the draw with a relatively inexpensive drop forged knife. Mine seems to be astonishingly symmetrical though, so that’s unfortunate you received one that’s so off. I’d exchange it for the sole reason that I know how symmetrical they can be.

I’ve always wanted to try mine as a throwing knife. It’s kind of unique for being a well made one piece boot knife that can actually cut and hold an edge.

Yea, I don't know why the "how" had a little exponent numeral added to it. I meant "how asymmetrical" as in - the degree to which its lack of symmetry is apparent.

Use it? Might've but it went back a while ago. GSM was cool about it. I told them I wasn't looking for a refund, just a str8 knife. They told me they HAD to process it as a refund. They also told me it would take a long time BUT sent me a pre paid label and have since issued my refund. I gotta say - Dealing with GSM was easier than I had feared it would be. YMMV.

I probably was being too picky but, once I saw it, I could NOT see it ever time I looked at the knife.

Glad sum1 spoke up who has an even example of this model. It is nice to know they DO exist. I couldn't bring myself to try again and moved on to other items. Maybe drop forging and my OCBD aren't a gr8 mix
