Finally had an opportunity to use my CABS on a real hog. I had a friend shoot a sow the night before and he cleaned it with my KOA's, the caper in 440 and Alaskan hunter in D2. Both knives had cleaned 2 Axis does over the weekend and did not have a chance to be sharpened. The KOA's took forever to cut through the hide of the sow. So out came the CABS. I did not want to clean this critter due to size and the fact he was a boar. I used the CABS to slice him open across the belly and chest shield (easier for the buzzards and coyotes to clean him up) and I have to say that is the quickest I have ever cut through the hide of a hog, especially a large boar covered in mud. I am sold. Can't wait to use it on whitetail this fall..... the real story is: I tackled him, wrapped the chain around his neck so I would have something to hold on to as I rode him to his grave.
Everyone always ask so, I am an enchillada plate shy of 200lbs; he weighed 262 lbs with broken tusk.
