Just went out with the dog, for a walk through the forest. So far we had no winter at all, no snow, but rain and temperatures above freezing.
And suddenly the first snow flake fell. Ten minutes later, I was surrounded by a white forest. I looked around and saw some birch trees. Carefully I harvestet some of the outer layer of the bark, and took some dead branches from sone pine trees. I took out my Victorinox pioneer and made a few feather sticks, and using a fire steel and the bark of the birch trees I started a little fire.
I sat down next to the fire underneath some pine trees and enjoyed the silence.
