Finally got my Yojimbo 2 from KnifeWorks today. (Ordered Jan 2012, Shipped 6/20/12, Received 6/21/12. Nice communication from Ashley at KW).
.
First impressions: Very sharp out of the box, not polished, but easy to shave arm hair. . A little stiff to open, with some gritty resistance beginning at about 45 deg. open. Good solid lockup. NO side or vertical blade play. Clip very tight. Secure, but difficult to clip into pocket of khakis.

Anyone else have the rough-ish opening? Will this improve with use, or do I need to disassemble and polish bearing surfaces?

mine is really gritty too and having problems with pocket clip screw, but spyderco sending me out new screws, but yea its no where near as smooth as the pm2.

mine was VERY rough, I took it apart and used the dremel to clean it up now its nice and smooth. I also had to use blue locktite on the screws for the clip. The screws would fall out otherwise.

I'm so looking forward to getting one. What's up with the "no Loctite" on the screws? There was Blue Loctite on the screws of my all black Tenacious when I changed the clip orientation. My Ontario RAT-1 also has Loctite on the screws. Both coming out of China and Taiwan.
