Have my first cold steel coming...
Code 4 clip point, joined some group, got it for 45$ How can I lose? That lock really appeals to me and I dig cts xhp.
Gonna be a beater, it will get used for sure. Anything I should know about this piece guys?
Thought I would share this purchase with the gang here.

What a great knife. When it arrives, it will likely be stiff. Leave it setting half way open for a week or so to help it loosen up. Congrats on the nice score! 👍🏻
 
That's a great deal, I'm tempted to get another one even though I already got all 3 blade types. You might like the grip tape mod on this too.
 
Sounds good guys, I could see grip tape helping for sure. I have a sheet of tiny grip tape dots that I could put on it.
I will let you know what I think when it lands.

What kind of group is that? I mean where did you get the Code4 for THAT price?
 
XHP Code 4 is for that price is suspicious. It is way too far below dealer price, and probably below distributor. Might be an AUS 8 blade for that price. Hope you get what you wanted. Code 4 is a great little knife.

It's from a popular website when you can get a big discount if people group together to buy it in bulk. You need to reach X purchases collectively to reach the price target.

I have saved some pretty serious coin over last few months. Gotta pick and choose, not always that deep of a discount.

its a realy good folder....unfortunately i found it to be to smooth on the handle
so sold it and bought me annother cs

i did manage to show it to my brother and a friend who didnt like CS because of their usual rough agressive look.

they both ended up buying a code 4 and edc it a lot

Agreed, it needs a mod for better grip whether it's tape or texturing/file work

I will keep that in mind, thanks... may ugly it up myself at that price. I think that is a bargain for that lock and cts xhp in a slim package.
Not bad for my first and only CS piece.
Looking at a broken skull to through in my Wildcat side by side next.

Nice and hope you love it! Just a tip which all new Triad lock owners should know: Don't try to unlock/depress the bar like a conventional lock back via the tip of your thumb. Use the joint of your thumb instead. This way it will not hurt as the spring of the triad is pretty stiff as compared to normal backlocks.

Wow, my code 4 arrived this afternoon, nice solid knife. The scales are a bit thin, but nice grind and I like the feel of the lock. I will carry it this weekend in my side by side and that should give it a good work out. Too soon to say for sure but pretty confident for 44.95$ this is quite a bargain.
Now thinking about an American lawman or a Steve Austin, suggestions are welcomed. Overlooked this brand way too long, the new steel got me interested and her we are.

the code 4 is a great knife but the slickness of the scales kept it out of my pocket for edc duty. i recently stepped up to the 4 inch talwar and love it with xhp, thumb disc with wave feature and grippy g10 its a great knife.

You gotta try the grip tape mod, it makes the grip so much more secure and hand filling. It's even more comfortable than the lawman imo
