I've got an NMFBM on the way. I can't sit still and I've trimmed the bushes so I can properly ambush the Post Man. He asks me about what kind of weapon I ordered "this time" each time he delivers a weighty box,. Now, I know I'm no hog but my collection to date has gotten fairly decent, you hogs be the judge:
1-Busse NMFBM with G10 and user stripped
1-Busse Custom SFNO with G10, Redwood Burl, and mosaic pins
1-Scrapyard Scrapper 5 LE
2-Swamp Rat Ratmandus both with black blades, one with black micarta handles and the other with black paper
1-Scrapyard Yardhook
2-Swamp RatSwamp Wardens (incoming)

Not bad I guess, considering I first heard of Busse last September. Christ, Let this obsession end please. I've sold things and done things I'll never forget just to put some INFI on the table! I'm scarred for life now! Serious question: SOMEONE EXPLAIN TO ME WHY INFI IS SO ADDICTING? It's like I can't get enough. How many expensive knives can I possibly need? Someone authorize me to stop the madness now. Tell me I've got "enough" please!

Fine print: Yes, I'll frigging post photos when the NMFBM arrives!

Congrats.

I only got Custom Shop HOGFSH now, and Urban Grudge coming and I got my first two Busses back in 2007. So you are doing good.

I can't help myself in the least when it comes to sr-101 or infi...I did figure out a trick though. I only buy knives of a certain color combination now. Its my own self justified way of limiting my addiction. Does it work? probably not...but its something I guess. haha. Good luck to you and your wallet. ;) :D

I read that in another thread. What combo are you fixed on? Black Paper and Satin? I think I am going to branch off of your idea and I can only have 1 of a certain length knife unless one is for the safe and one for a user. Crap, I'm already making exceptions to the rule. So screwed.

I've observed this mysterious, and to me, troubling pattern since I first joined the forums a few short months ago. Just today I received my very first Busse knife, a CG BWM. Sadly, without so much as a swing, I'm madly searching for an NMFBM! I can't say that I wasn't warned (see post #24 to this thread):

I'll be posting pics of it on that thread shortly.

Tell me I'll be ok once I get the NMFBM...or there is a 12 step program or something. :o

No, you won't be okay. Sorry. We're all screwed. However, I advise getting a user NMFBM so you don't have to feel guilty about breaking her in. Some devout and strong individual beat her so you can too (guilt free).

Authorization... Denied!!! Besides, you don't really wanna stop anyway, do ya?? ;)

Congrats on your budding collection, and your NMFBM score...you're gonna love that beast!

Quickie question: The NMFBM is user stripped and I 'think' has had the decarb ground down a bit. I guess it's been ground to .243 which is just enough to remove most decarb. Will the custom shop make it pretty if I so desire? I have this thing for making my own bruises on my mistresses rather than the ones someone else left. I've heard about the Spa treatment, but I'm afraid of paying half the cost of the knife just to get it shiny. Any advice from some of you Boars? Are they reasonably priced? Do I ask Amy-0 or Garth, or either about it. I don't have it yet and probably wont want to send her to the spa until I've got some extra cash but I'd like to know what options I have.

Garth is the one to email for custom shop.
The decarb was an issue with the Competition finished blades.
The coated NMFBM should not have any problems.

Great collection you have there Iboschi...there's no turning back now:eek:

Seems like your on a roll, so its all down hill now! Yes its just begun, hope you like ramen noodles my friend. ;)

Congrats on the the score.

Oh, don't forget our pix when you get it.:grumpy::p:D

A stripped, partially ground NMFBM can be a little fugly. Only Garth can comment on the cost. I think simple stuff like that is reasonable, but have no actual experience.

Some guys have cleaned up stripped knives with sandpaper by hand, or ScotchBrite pads, or the ScotchBrite discs chucked into a hand drill. You can clamp the drill in an vise, and use it like a bench grinder.

Oh, and NEED has NOTHING to do with our collecting.

I went with Black Coated Blades and Black canvas micarta...that way when CG's are released I still have a good shot at getting one haha. ;) I've pretty much sold off all Busse's that were not of that color. Even my Rats share suit. :D I use all my knives and have no queens, and I love the worn look the black coating gives. Just preference is all. I know a few hogs do the color combo thing but you will always break your rule every now and again.

Great collection you have there man! Now all you need is a Busse Baclava to wear the next time the postman delivers - then he won't ask anymore questions!:D;)
