Hey guys,

I own quite a few knives, only recently (Well last 3-4 years) got into bucks. I have a 119 a 112 a prince, an odesey (SP) and a few more that I can't think of the names of right off LOL But I never owned a 110,and with all the talk about em around here I couldn't help but pick one up yesterday!I think it's a amazing knife for less than $30,you really can't expect or ask for more.I think it's better built than my $100 plus bokers, should've just picked one of these up to begin with!

Thanks for peaking my interest in this knife guys!

Congrats! I hope you don't just stop there though! There are tons of 110 variations, better try out a few others ;)

Boker? Boker? Are those the ones with the ceramic blades? My Bro had one of 'em... He now carries a Buck Tempest :D

Lotoblades, No pictures? :D

Good luck in your Buck collecting :)

Lotoblades...

I look forward to the day when you start a thread that says "Finally Got ANOTHER 110".

Doc Decaf is correct in his prognosis. I stumbled across this forum looking for info on the 110 and its' history. The first hit was free. Now I'm hooked on the steel crack.

I only collect 110 though...it's THE classic.

Welcome...

Went to Wally's for ammo----almost bought another 110 cause the price came down---$26 and change---sweet----might go buy another one anyway----waiting for my custom to show up.

You're not wrong Dave about it being dreaded by wives although after the first 5 my wife doesn't say much about it anymore, just gives me a certain look  .

LOL 'steel crack' that made me laugh!

Lotoblades,

Welcome to Buckaholics Anonymous (BA)! :D Fair warning, this aint know 12 step program here! Once bitten, much like the bite of a werewolf, there is NO CURE!  Just wait until you see ALL the 110's out there for sale! ;) Might as well get to know your local UPS, FEDX, and USPS delivery people on a first name basis!:)

Stopped by Cabella's up by Buda just south of Austin yesterday and had a look at the Buck display. I was wavering between the $149 stag handled S30V Cabella's 110 and the $1,800 replica Sharps buffalo gun at the nearby gun counter (.45 calibre, I think -- I could have used it on the local squirrels), when my wife sandbagged me and dragged me off, my fingernails screeching across the floor. Sniff. Cabella's guys said they'd seen it all before. I had my trusty 110 in 420HC on my belt though, so I was able to cut myself free from the duct tape, but by then we were well away from Cabella's. Maybe next time... 110 fever is hard to cure.

I dunno, I just bought a wallymart 110 in the bubble pack, figured I'd carry it as a utility user.

The brass on one corner of the bolster is all worn, there is some stringy material hanging off the brass rivet on the wood, which intefered with the finish on the wood. Definately 2nd rate look...

I'll see if I can't post some pict's -- any one got how to post pictures for dummys post?

I hate bubble packs :thumbdn: on anything!.....thousand + mile trips in bouncy trailers ,pot holes, heavy box handlers and stockers.
Heat,frigid temperatures,high humidity,
make for damaged goods .Plastic and metal donot like each other.

You are 100% correct -- I won't make that mistake again :jerkit:

Although, now I got a good excuse to beat on this one :D

Yeah, they ship peeps that way too and it takes a day or two after the journey for them to get to working condition.
Imagine a poor little knife in a bubble going through all that!
