I am looking in the stores around here. Not that I am looking to make money but if I find any of these knives should I buy them all. I really only want one or two. But if I come across more is there enough people wanting these to pay retail plus shipping? Again I am not looking to make any money for myself but I am not going loose money. I am not that nice. If there is enough interest I will buy all I personally come across and offer them for sale my cost plus the cost of shipping. If this doesn't sound like a good idea please let me know also.

Checked Merlo's (BM dealer) here in Medford a couple of days ago. Nada thing. They do their ordering out of Calif. Not sure how that will affect this store's 42 availability. The store clerk was totally unaware of the 42's.......

Nothing at G.A.T. in East Dundee, IL. They are kind of a last resort as their prices are pretty close to retail.

Every store I have contacted so far has either sold out or have not seen them yet. No one has been willing to presell me knives from their expected inventory. I do not think anyone knows what to expect or when. In the mean time I am keeping a list and calling weekly until I find a few. I also have one on order with 1SKS!

Knifethrower,

I thought balisongs in Massachusettes were illegal to sell and own. My question is why would any local stores try to sell them?

A real knife collector is always broke.

I've seen bali's for sale at plenty of stores here in MA. That doesn't mean their legal, but it sure seems that way. Of course MA has very strict weapons laws. No nanchaku, shuriken. No pepper spray/mace w/o a permit. I think you even need a gun permit to own a BB gun. I don't think these are strictly enforced though, since I see plenty of women with pepper spray.

BTW let me know if the Medford dealer gets some in.

I do not know the legalities of the situation but there are balis for sale in most all the stores I frequent. I think it may be an enforcement issue. I have them shipped to me also and it has never come up weather or not this was legal. Who has the time to check these things out anyway? Is there money in any police dept. budget to inforce these laws where no one get's hurt? I am sure the police have more pressing issues to attend to and if they did not we would all better off for it.
