Recommendation? Finding “user” discontinued Beckers…

I have been thinking about the discontinued Becker models that I do not have a specimen of, BK-5, 6, 8, 12, 15, 17, & 20.

What are the prospects of finding some/all of these as “user” quality? I dont see these pop up much. And when they do, they seem to be “safe queens.”

Besides the classified here, where would you suggest I look?

By “user” I dont mind wear, these are for work.

I would put a "WTB" in your signature line as well as in the Wanted section in the exchange. I've found a handful of hard to find knives that way.

I have another Nib Bk 5. And 2 BK15 Nib. Anyone could pm. I am a Becker head. And you gave me the thought that maybe there's some other Becker heads that would appreciate a heads up

I have not bought been on here in a couple years, and hopefully this is not in violation of any rules. If it is please delete it mods

I haven’t been active for a few years either. It’s news to me that the 15 and 5 have been discontinued. They don’t make better knives. I want so badly to find a knife that I would like better than my 15 but I can’t. It checks every box you could ever ask for a single tool option.

I have been pulling my hair out looking for a BK11CSM.

Best of luck in your search. I managed to hold onto my 4, 5, and my 15, but sold my 11CSM...

Sometimes seeking is more effective than looking. Watching the Exchange is no way to find out what people have stashed...at least not until they make a decision to sell it. Post a WTB ad so people know you're looking. Posting here is mostly chatter, especially as a registered member, since that stuff belongs on the Exchange. Oh, and put your email in the ad so you can be reached (that should be common sense when one doesn't have private messaging).

I appreciate the insight. I have been poking around and asking a few times, but not really looking hard, though what I have found has been frustration (hence the hair pulling)...

I did find someone who had a 11CSM he would part with, but then once I reached out via messenger (on Facebook, in the Becker group) he didn't respond...

This person is a standup individual, and I believe he is also present on here, and knowing that it was probably just a simple oversight, I don't want to drag his name through the mud for no reason. I have spoken with him on multiple occasions about other topics, and he is fairly respected and respectful within the community, so his name is intentionally omitted. Maybe I will try him again...

I did add my email to a WTB listing, but the issue many have with doing so are the spam bots that trawl the Internet looking for addresses. There wasn't any ill will or dismissiveness meant, but I am hoping to not end up on one or 47 spam lists...
