I have had a Kershaw half ton for quite some time now and I love it for edc, but I find the blade a bit too short. Any recommendations on a edc blade under $40. I was considering the Spyderco Tenacious or a Kershaw chill. (I was also considering getting an Ontario rat 1, too big for edc?) Any other really good Kershaws for edc that have at least a 3" blade? Maybe the Kershaw 3/4 ton even though its length is only 2.75"?

If you don't mind assisted opening a Kershaw Blur blem can be had from Dave (aka Kershawguy) for under $40. Even if you don't want it assisted quite a few people have taken out the torsion bar and reported good results.

If you don't mind assisted openers, then I'd go with the Cryo. I have one, and it deploys wicked fast. It's also positionable to all four corners and has a deep carry clip. It's relatively light weight, if you want you can de-assist it, but you'd have to drill a hole for the detent ball to sit in.
