Finding decent 110's on Ebay

I have been lurking on E Bay for a 110 for cheap. One thing I have noticed is that when folks post a description, most of them make no mention of blade markings. Not to mention that some really do not know what they have so the description is inaccurate (not on purpose of course). The terms "vintage" or "rare" come to mind. Although I did see one auction where the guy posted exactly what was on the blade so you could look up the sybmol.

I do not really need any help or anything, I was just thinking out loud more or less.
 
...It also seems really hard to actually find a "cheap" 110 that is in good shape at all. As recently as a year ago you could still find great looking 110's for less than $25 most any time. I'm talking no dots to 2 dots and all that follow. I myself picked up an almost totally mint 4 dot 110 with box sheath and papers for $18 last year. Here's one identical to what I picked up that recently sold on the "Bay"...Oh yeah...this one doesn't have box or sheath and it ain't perfect either...Think I'll just pull the covers over my head til the prices become more realistic...LOL...

it is the falt of the new
Blades Guide to Knives.:eek:
and the values they assine
to buck knives. :confused:
the 5th edition did not assine values
and prices went down:thumbup:
the new come out and prices went up :grumpy:
and it is because of the what is being
priced at the true knife shows and at knife spetichely auctions
for Pristine NIB Knives and every one has a
Nice almost new only been perofesionaly sharpened knife one time with no box ect...:thumbdn:

and that darn book is to blame!!!!:mad:

Last year you could get the tins with a new 110 for $23.44 to start and down from there as Walmart put them on clearence....Walmart has them for $29.99 everday so to pay in the mid twenties or more for a used one doesn't excite me much, unless it is a rare one is mint condition....I have brought two brand new stag 110s from an Ebay seller who was recomended from the guys here.....she has great stuff and at a good price....
