I don't know about you guys, but I'm having a hell of a hard time trying to find local area knife throwers ever since I moved here to Greensboro. So I was just wondering if there was some data base, or something that is current so I can find other people to throw with.

I know that it's a bit of a noobish question and all, but I'm just frustrated and tired of trying to use google to find anything. (a lot of the sites have outdated information out there on local people unfortunately)

you might look for a local black powder or Creative Anachronist group (sca.org) - they generally have some knife and axe throwers.

You might want to check out listings for survival groups. There are more out there that you think. Hunting supply stores. Check out the walls

Here are some links that knife throwers may wish to persue

http://www.throwzini.com/ -- Scott Garcia also offers a newsletter of which part will give a listing of throwers in various communities

http://www.ikthof.com/ -- many time world Champion Mike Bainton began the IKTHOF

http://www.jackdagger.com/ -- nice site for a very good thrower

http://www.knifethrower.com/ -- lots of good info and videos by one of the best in the World

http://www.angelfire.com/ok2/mike1/ -- site for Northeast Throwers -- this one also has a yahoo group to join

http://users.rcn.com/comlogic/knife/index.htm -- The Sticking Point

http://www.throwingknives.com/ -- John Bailey

I have other sites but these should get you started. If you go to Yahoo groups, there is also another Throwers list besides the NE Thrower list and it has lots of stuff going on with competitions all across America during the year.

Not sure where Crescent is but I'm in Cedar Rapids Iowa, and I love knife throwing!

Only thing close to organized events I've heard of around here is the Buck Skinners/ Rendezvous things. They often have knife and tomahawk throwing competitions/exhibitions.

I haven't been very often, as I'm new to this area and pretty much just found out about these things. They seem kind of interesting though. :)

there's a big SCA (society for creative anachronisms) group in Omaha - they have throwers and archers. might be worth looking them up.

For a while I hung our with the local SCA group, but didn't find anybody years ago. Pretty straight laced bunch, plus they don't fight light weapons either.

Thanks though. I finally updated my profile I moved out to Greensboro NC.
