I'd like to find some older Sebenza models, like a 2002-2003 Large Regular, or an inlaid Regular pattern. Anyone have a favorite spot to find them lurking about? Or is it mostly luck and patience (neither of which I've been blessed with)?
From one collector with ADD to another, patience is a virtue that is rewarding but frustrating. They pop up, but only occasionally. When you have the money ready, post up some WTB (Want to Buy) ads on the various forums around the web and see what happens. Ironically, what often occurs is two or three show up at once, and BOOM you're out a pile of cash - but very happy
Edit. There are a few sites that still have some UG Regulars lurking about. Check the usual suspects - New Graham, Grand Prairie, True North, Edged Specialties, Only Fine Knives, etc and you might find something you like. The true "older" stuff you still gotta fish for.
I try to buy older Sebenzas from DallasSTB; however, he is often not very cooperative. . .![]()
Plain stubborn, or is that you, Dave?
My daughter is off to College in 13 short years, if she gets into a really good school I might be tempted to part with a few...![]()
One got away from me tonight by minutes!. I'll keep looking though....
Thanks for the suggestions all, it's appreciated.
That was an absolute STEAL.
My daughters off to school in 2 years. We could do this -- if you buy mine, I'll buy them back, AND yours, a decade later. Assuming, that is, that she's a successful lawyer and supporting her old man . . .
Nice unique graphic you picked up Josh K, hopefully that eases your pain a bit.

Sounds like a plan, if you'll sell mine back after Gracie finishes here Residency and is ready to support me in the style I plan on becoming accustomed to.
I have it figured out. I'll buy Fooj's Seb's in 2 years, StJames buys both of ours in 8 years, then we split his up in 13 years. Sound good?![]()
Then we can move to Bali so he can't find us:thumbup:
