Finding older Sebenzas?

I'd like to find some older Sebenza models, like a 2002-2003 Large Regular, or an inlaid Regular pattern. Anyone have a favorite spot to find them lurking about? Or is it mostly luck and patience (neither of which I've been blessed with)?

From one collector with ADD to another, patience is a virtue that is rewarding but frustrating. They pop up, but only occasionally. When you have the money ready, post up some WTB (Want to Buy) ads on the various forums around the web and see what happens. Ironically, what often occurs is two or three show up at once, and BOOM you're out a pile of cash - but very happy :D

Edit. There are a few sites that still have some UG Regulars lurking about. Check the usual suspects - New Graham, Grand Prairie, True North, Edged Specialties, Only Fine Knives, etc and you might find something you like. The true "older" stuff you still gotta fish for.

Straight River Knife, Inc. has some older CRKs.

However, I have never ordered from them, so I can't vouch for their service.

I agree with others that you just need to keep checking all the forums and knife seller sites.

I have the hots for large classic MM wood inlay sebenzas. I have a few now but am always on the look out for more.

I try to buy older Sebenzas from DallasSTB; however, he is often not very cooperative. . . ;)

Plain stubborn, or is that you, Dave?

My daughter is off to College in 13 short years, if she gets into a really good school I might be tempted to part with a few...;)

My daughters off to school in 2 years. We could do this -- if you buy mine, I'll buy them back, AND yours, a decade later :D. Assuming, that is, that she's a successful lawyer and supporting her old man . . .

One got away from me tonight by minutes!. I'll keep looking though....

Thanks for the suggestions all, it's appreciated.

Sounds like a plan, if you'll sell mine back after Gracie finishes here Residency and is ready to support me in the style I plan on becoming accustomed to.

Nice unique graphic you picked up Josh K, hopefully that eases your pain a bit.

Hopefully. :D

This is disturbing. I will now have four CRK's. I don't see an end in site. What is even scarier is I'm finding a reason to carry every one of them on a rotating basis. I can barely pick a favorite though it would have the be the plain Lg. Regular.

I'll see how I like the small.

cough......cough......cough.......I nearly choked on my coffee, Dave. THAT'S a good one. I'm just a novice learning at the feet of the masters.

Let's see, Nicholas goes off to college in 8.....I see a plan forming...

I have it figured out. I'll buy Fooj's Seb's in 2 years, StJames buys both of ours in 8 years, then we split his up in 13 years. Sound good?:D:D:D:D

Then we can move to Bali so he can't find us:thumbup:

You just gotta hunt for them.

Dealers have more regular-profile CGG's than anything, but see what you turn up.

One-piecer's are out there too at a reasonable cost, ya just gotta put time and effort into finding them.

While I realize @bay is not popular around the forums, there are a lot of storefronts that sell there.

Now get off your arses and search! :)

Professor.
