I have a nib large regular with double silver lugs and a swedge. It was made in 2/07'. I'm at least the 3rd and maybe the 4th owner.

The scales have a fine bead blast finish on them. It looks like the original finish. A member I've talked to has 2 knives with the same finish. My friend told me he has

heard that there are other CRK's with the same fine bead blast finish on them. I paid what I think is a fair price for the knife....south of $600.

I called Chris to ask him about the fine bead blast finish on the knife. He told me CRK has, for a number of years, used the same 60/80 bead blast finish on their sebenzas.

The finish on my knife is not original...it certainly looks original tho. This finish has a scotchbrite texture. It does look like it was done professionally.

The finish looked/looks original to a few other folks too...................Someone did a fantastic job of putting a fine bb on some CRK regular sebenzas........

I know of a couple of members here who have tried their hand at re-blasting some Sebenza's so it's very possible. If it bothers you too much, just let me know ;)

As DallasSTB stated-a couple members do bead blasting. I have seen the work of one and it is as good as CRK's IMHO. CRK will re-blast it for free(just return shipping charge) as part of the spa treatment if you desire, though the wait is 4-8 wks. I have 2 in there at this time for the service.

In addition to the bead blasting looking exceptionally tasty, that SWEDGE is a gourmet meal for the eyes. Thanks for the feast.
