I just received a new blade from:
http://www.fontenille-pataud.com/usa.htm

And boy am I impressed. It looks a great deal like the knife on the entry page, but without the fancy blade. The tolerances are very good, and the horn handle is just outstanding. Its color is the best I’ve seen in this material, polished like no piece I own. Very nice, and surprisingly inexpensive. No, I don’t own any interest in them, I just love this one piece. ;-) Perhaps I’m suffering from tactical overload. Check them out, they are excepting credit cards now.

Thanks Excalibur. I was a little uncertain about the nature of my post.

Their web site is pretty cool, although a working knowledge of French would not hurt. I'm thinking about one of their Damascus blades. The only complaint I have about my blade from them is the logo is etched on one the side of the blade, so it’s a little more difficult to clean the Brie off it.

I just have to remember to use the other side. I still have trouble believing it was less than 120 bones delivered. Any idea about the quality of 12C27 steel?

Hi Pleconin,

thanks for this link. I´m collecting french folders, which are part of the regional folklore and tradition of french regions.

I didn´t find the most patters in the net, for example the Nontron (which is my favourite), the mediteraneé, the zouave, the piemontese and so on.

But this knifes are really beautyful.
