Fine grit sandpaper?

Where do I fine fine grit sandpaper? I looked in my local Lowes and their 'fine grit' is only about 600 or 800 - not the 1200 I read about here.

Try an auto parts store. Check out by the body repair stuff. You should be able to find wet/dry paper at least up to 2000 grit! Don't waste your time at Home Depot etc. They won't have it.

Our local Walmart has up to 2000 grit in the automotive section with the auto paint supplies. It seems to be a bit cheaper than the auto places.

I got my 1500 and 2000 grit sandpaper at the local Orchard Hardware. Works pretty well for stropping.
