Finest Beer in the Known Universe

you havn't tryed them all have you:D :D :D
I can remember in 1974 (I think it was) I was in a bar in
Norfolk VA with some buddys while in the Navy
(I spent many a night there) coors wasn't even in the stores a guy
I knew brought some Coors in from another state and we were about the first ones in VA to try Coors:D I think it was the last time I drank Coors Too :)
you don't want to know what I drink now:D :D

Sinebrykoff's "Koff III" in 0.33 liter bottles is quite nice. Pity that it's not imported to USA. German "Paulaner" whitebeer is nice too. It's got some "body" in it.

There is joke about beers that will ruin my existans in this forum,
I hope you can forgive me... :footinmou

Three major beermakers were in english pub after hard days meeting.
First guy from USA asked the bartender:" I would like to have a bottle of Coors, the best beer in the world", and he got what he asked for.
Second guy from Denmark asked:" I would like to have bottle of Carlsberg, the finest beer in the world", and he got what he asked for.
Last guy, from Finland orderd Coca cola. The others were wondering why didn't he order "Lapin Kulta" or "Koff"??
Reply was:" If you guys are not drinking beer, neather am I..."

I spent two tours in Germany, for a total of eight years. They know how to make beer over there.

I like my beers dark! Domestically the AmberBock is pretty good and Killian's Irish Red (a Coor's product)is great, especially if you get it on tap. J.Dundee's Honey Brown is another favorite of mine and lately Yuengling's Black & Tan has been a bargain at the store. If the establishment I'm at has Guiness on tap then that's a real treat (don't drink it canned though, bleh). Lowenbrau Dark used to be my favorite.

As far as light colored beers go Coors isn't bad, but if it comes right down to it, I'm not likely to turn down any beer if it's offered to me!

Free beer is the BEST!!!

I'm lucky enought to travel quite a bit and my favorite beer depends on where I'm at.

Yahoo! I knew this post would stir some controversy. I'm a Guinness man myself. One of my favorite things to do in Boston is sit in Mr. Dooley's swilling pints while the Missus goes shopping. She comes back a few hours later and sops me up and wrings me into the car. Trouble is, Guinness, and most other dark or full-bodied beers make me crap like a goose now. Coors Light seems to be to only thing this old man can tolerate now. I don't have the iron constitution I had in the 70's. Heck, when I was in the Phillipines, I could drink gallons of that nasty swill, San Miguel, and never bat an eyelid.

I gotta recomend Fat Tire beer, It is made in Colorado I beleive and is only distributed in a few states, We wont get it here in ND for about another ten years. IT is all great stuff.

It's not beer 'per se', but I like Hornsby's Draft Cider (6% alcohol, so it's got a little kick). Perfect for constructing that "organic knife rest" that so many people advocate having. :D
And remember: "beer will get you through times of no money better than money will get you through times of no beer".

Free beer is the BEST!!!

:D I am with you on this one.
Seriously out on the town Bass Ale is #1 in my book.:D :D :D
At home just to kick back and have a few cold ones one piss water is as good as the next. Usually go with Bud or Coors. Same difference;)

Tom, who me  You been drinking too much Primos brudda :D Breakfast of Warriors :barf:

When I'm down South I drink Panama Cerveza, Acme, Port Royal or the best name of all time, Pilsner Pilsner, of Ecuador at 42 cents a liter how can you go wrong.

When I'm in Germany I just drink whatever they put in the boot. :D Warsteiner is the best I can get in Bama.

Ole Peculiar, Boddingtons, Harp or Guiness, had a French beer called Tombstone that was a lot like a Tequiza..... had too much rakia so don't remember much that night :barf:

I was in Romania and had some awesome beer, can't remember the name.... something Star.

I like my own beer the best, gotta IPA and an ESB in the primary fermenter right now. :D

Anybody remember the Monty Python skit from the early Seventies where they claimed American beer is like sex in a canoe? It seems that both are fukking close to water.

There are a lot of good brews being made in America these days, many ales that are called pale or brown ales. These are generally India style ales because of the high hops content. They are more bitter than the corresponding pale and brown ales from the Brittish Isles.

Fat Tire is made by the Breckinridge Brewery in Colorado which makes some other brews that are at least as good. By the time they mass produce it to get it around the county it may be as bland as Coor's brand of sex in a canoe...

I don't know if it has changed, but in the 70's
Caned or bottled beer was 3.8 and draft was 3.2
when I was in Germany W@W I don't believe they cut it at all.
when that stuff is their meal drink don't try to out drink them..
Heineken was the same when
I toured their brewery in about 1974 (holland)I came out of that place
disoriented :D
but they cut it too here to 3.8% also
the Royal Navy guys showed us great time while in England
what I can remember of it anyway:confused: those guy could keep beer
on board ship   and a few call girls :)

oh the life and times of me it was great being young..:D :D

Next batch will be a Fat Tire Clone..... gotta drink the other beer I got sitting around :p whatta problem :D

Dear Lord... Is beer been cut in your country? I've been wondering about that. When drinking with americans they always seem to get tired before soon. In Geneva, there are quite many "USA Ok" buddys but they are not "salt of the earth", diplomatics and other trailer thrash.
Few beers and votka's and nighty night... no fun at all.

And people keep telling me I have ponking driblem...;)
