It is difficult for me to find a knife to carry and use. Take this one for example. It is a jewel, a piece of perfection, delivered to me for under $45 and dangit if it isn't too nice to bang up. I gotta quit buying new knives.

Sharp, pointy, solid lockup, no sharp edges on the handle (no proud pins), beautiful shiny brass, real pretty wood (looks kinda like its been grilled with the black stripes), and heck even the inside of the liners look good.

The finger grooves fit my large hands in both the regular and reverse grips. The thumb is left out (could there be a groove for the thumb in the forward grip where the blade meets the lockbar...) but the other four fingers each have a groove and each finger fits like it should. This fitment gives me confidence for difficult push cuts. Of course, the thumb covers the butt end of the knife in the reverse position giving great control. The FGs don't decrease the circumference of the handle enough to cause me to "run out of knife" when giving the handle a tight grip.

I couldn't be more tickled. Thank you everyone at Buck and on this forum.

Oregon, that's a nice 110 FG... ... And some Great pictures too...   ... Thanks for sharing... ITE

Nice photos and nice looking knife. Nice figured wood, too. And nice looking strawberries.

That's exactly why I often buy in threes: One for use. One for a backup to the user. And one for display to look at.

That's a beauty, and man, you are getting to be a real artist at photographing knives.

That is a sweet looking FG 110. Those photos are very nice......But.....I was waiting for you to show the graphic psycho strawberry murder scene;)

Great photos, I like fingergrooves...110 or 112, don't matter.

I'm all for using knives that I like...as someone posted buy another one or two and enjoy. Life's short and one shouldn't have to use less than what one wants. Preston

Man Oregon your getting good at taking photos . We can always use those talents on this forum . I like a finger groove 110 as well . To me is worth the 10$ extra . DM

Thank you for the kind words and comments everyone.

The members have made the Buck forum a terrific place to be, learn and enjoy. Buck makes it easy to be attracted to their products.

The fingergrooves disrupt the clean lines of the 110. However, they are a big step toward having a handle custom fit to your closed hand. Kind of like taking a stick of clay and squeezing it and using the result to cast a knife handle. Man that would look bad but I gotta think that it would result in a very grippable knife.

Great pics oregon,

Hope the strawberries were as sweet as that 110:thumbup:

I live in a terrific rural location surrounded by small farms that produce outstanding goodies as the seasons shoot bye. You can pick em right off the vine and eat them sun-warmed.

There are strawberries so good as to be the substance for a festival, and there are the rasberries (don't eat these with whipped cream or you will not be able to stop) and then there are blueberries oh so ooh la la. I can't wait for the peaches, apples, appricots and I gotta stop here because this is a knife forum and I am hungry.
