never owned a 110 or 112 with finger grooves. sure like the look of them, but not sure how well they fit different hand sizes. 110 seems like it would fit more better, but i keep thinking the 112 would be tight and weird. any feedback is appreciated.

I like finger grooves, if not for the simple fact that they are very rare when you look at the number of Buck 110/112's that have been produced over the many decades.

When produced in their Custom Shop, the finger grooves vary greatly, compared to the machine made production models.

PS: Unless your hands are very unusual in size, there should be no issue with fit.

I picked up a used 110 with finger grooves recently. It feels really good in my hand and I think it's more secure. It also looks really cool. I usually go without finger grooves though. I guess that's what I prefer. I do recommend having one of each though. They are that different.

I never tried a finger groove 112. I'll be interested to hear opinions on that.

I've been using finger grooves for years... I use a 422/426 Bucklites they both have F/Gs...
I think there great... I have few 110s and 112s F/Gs... I use my Bucklites more or a 186/560...
Both of them are sweet...

yep those 560 and 186s are sweet. talk about a knife before it's time. should re-release it with pocket clip.......

thank all for the info and feedback, appreciated. 110 with finger grooves is calling me.....not sure about the 112...anyone got a picture holding one to see how it fits? thanks.

Love them, here is same knife with and without.

I do not have King Kong hands but I do have Mighty Joe Young hands. So, the finger groves are not so comfortable for me. I prefer the knives without them. I do know some like them, however.

I got a standard 110 with the finger grooves to see how they felt before I ordered a custom. At first I didn't like them at all, but they really grew on me and now I carry my FG version more than any other. Of course I got my custom without, and now I wish I got it with the finger grooves since I don't know when I'll get another. Even if your fingers don't line up perfectly, it's still very comfortable. I'm hoping to try a 112 FG soon....

Those Indigo Blue 110s look so cool Makael. I love that color. One of each is the way to go

more good info thanks y'all, appreciated.

makael, gorgeous examples. thanks for sharing with us.

Makael's indigo 110 has some really deep finger grooves compared to my water buffalo 110 from the custom shop I ordered earlier this year.

^good observation

btw yours are really nice. thanks for sharing.

I own the 110 model with and without. I personally prefer with.
Here is my 110 from the custom shop with FG in hand.

^really nice. thanks for pic of knife in hand. very useful. appreciate it.

My custom shop knives with finger grooves. The grooves on the orangewood are more subtle.

I only have two finger groove 110's. One is a customized 2 dot with short blade and the other is a custom water buffalo.

I really like finger grooves on my 110. Especially the shallow type like those on trevor's & Brown's. DM
