Hello all,

I'm looking to get some of that sweet forum knowledge on darkening 3v, or altering it's surface appearance in other ways. This is in regards specifically to my cpk dek 1, it's developed a patina, which I don't mind in most steels. The patina on 3v just isn't quite as pleasant as on other carbon steels, it just looks dirty.

I've used FC on infi to darken it and then stonewash it to give a blackwash finish, what else is out there in terms of options? Doesn't necessarily have to be darkening it, perhaps I should just polish it and then maintain the blade better or just live with the dirty look.

I ended up just lightly sanding it. Not sure if I'll give this one the blackwash treatment or not. I'm half tempted to run it through the grit progression and polish it, but it would end up scratched up anyway.
