Finish Question?

I knew THAT Einstein!!
The knife came to me a little scuffed up. I though meybe a light rub of a green scrubbie would do the trick?

Yeah, hammer it through a tree! Maybe chop some concrete! Nothing pretty's up a Busse like some scuffs from unreasonable abuse! :D

If there's anything BF lacks it's a reputation system because you'd get some for a post like that.

Other than bead blast, nothing will look perfect. I just let my DC finished gradually become more polished with use and sharpening, occasionally hitting them with fine sandpaper.

tomthebaker said it best, nothing you do is going to look right. If its a little scuffed, you can hit it with a little Flitz but it will tend to shine it up after a few times.

A scuff pad like scotchbrite will give you a hand rubbed finish which is the closest you will have to a bead blast but it takes a while to get it nice and even and its a bear to get into the area close to the handles.

Any shops with bead blasters in your town? Most auto and truck repair shops have one and most will do it cheap or free just to handle the knife. Just dont let them get too carried away or you will have a rough finish. Make sure as well that its not sand, you dont want sand blast, you want glass bead or ceramic. Low pressure, under 70 psi.

I've got a friend with a BB cabinet. Piece of cake to do.

If you don't know anyone with one call around to a few shops, and I'll sure you'll find someone that would blast it for around $10. Find one that has a media, I've never used sand on knife, but know the media looks MUCH better on a gun.

Giant--- I was thinking about doing a satin.
You got a Satin Nuc?
