Hey guys, finally finished up a couple.Remember now I am still having some trouble with my eyes, and I am not 100% yet,but am working on it.

Both knives have blades that I forged using Chad Nichols cut off pieces of Damascus he told me werent big enough to make a knife,So to show him they would I forged these 2 out.

The dark handled knife has a blade that is just over 5 inches and the bone handled one is just under 5 inches, the handles are around 4 1/4-1/2 inch long. Both have NS guards and ferrules(which actually slide over the handle material)The wood handle is a one piece handle with a ivory dot inlay, the bone is actually some of my Bark Bone that is mortised tang construction. The wood handled knife has the guard and ferrule stippled also.

Bone handled pictures in next post..

All comments welcome....Thanks for looking,
Bruce

Looks great to me Bruce, I wish I could do half that good with good eyes and feeling 100%. Keep up the good work.

Still can't get myself to like the look of differentially heat treated damascus blades. Even so, these are super nice, Bruce.

Sugarfoot,Yes both of these are up for sale. They will let me buy something for Donna for Christmas as she has forbide me from spending any auction money on her.

As a side note I will be letting these 2 pieces go at a lower than normal price to say Thanks for all the help the forums have given to Donna and myself...

Email me for prices.

Bruce

Myself I dont really like the differentially heat treaded look on Damascus either...BUT...I would rather have the look than a fully heat treated Damascus blade that wont perform to my liking...

Hello Bruce,

Glad you are getting back going.

The knives look good. I was over at Chad's place a couple of days before you were there. I was thinking those big chunks of "scrap" had some potential. Good work.

Hey David,Yea I know,What Chad calls Scrap would never be called that in my shop....As you guys can see:D :D :D

Bruce

They look pretty darned good from here! Glad to hear you're doing a bit better and getting some shop time in!

Happy Holidays!

Those knives would look alot better if.....

MISS DONNA WAS HOLDING THEM!
:P
:D

I like them even though she aint in the pix...
Hafta say that I'm with Danbo on the temperline/damascus thing.

Keep up the good work!

Thanks for all the great comments everybody..

Donna doesnt want to model anymore:( After a few guys said some ugly things I think it got to her:grumpy:

Thanks again,
Bruce

Very nice, sir!!!Looks like you have gotten to the point where it is about feel rather than looking:thumbup: If you apologize for those, i can't wait to see the ones you make when you are fully recovered:D Technical question. I can figure out how to do the pocket for the ivory dot. How did you cut out the ivory itself? I have a little slab that I want to use for diamond shaped handle and wooden sheath inlays and i have never done any type of inlay before. I need all the ideas i can get my hands on!!!!!

I really like the Cobra pattern on the ebony knife. Both are very cool! If they are for sale you should put them on the "For Sale" thread. They should go at the price you told me about.
