Well after a few battles with this smaller knife I finally got it finished and ready to make the full metal sheath. It has a 4 1/2 inch blade forged from round rod 5160,I hand rubbed the blade to 2500 grit paper then litely buffed with scratchless pick compound, this gave it a mirror polished rubbed finish (I know some don't like mirror finishes but the originals were done that way and I was trying to keep it like the original)It has a N/S guard and sterling silver ferrule with a floral and vine bezeling. The handle is water buffalo horn that I carved in the style of a Will and Fink style Dagger from Old San Fransisco.

Donna thought all us Red Neck country boys would like the Dixie (Rebel) Flag Bikini...

Any and all comments would be greatly apriceated,I have been really working on the Blades as this was what I was told was what I needed more work on for my Master judging (and 2 years isn't that long)

Very impressive. Unlike a lot of people, I like a high polish finish like on your knife. My last few have been finished to 1500 and Scotchbrite. The more I do it, the more I like it.
