I've finished this folder and now it's ready to ship!

Some pics of the process here:
http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=372666

Spacer was redone, hence the different filework.

Specs:

3 1/2" blade in hand rubbed N678 (Austrian stainless steel) Flat ground and 1/8" thickness. 7 1/2" overal length.
Texturized/worked stainless steel liners. Fileworked backspacer.
Handle slabs in "Garabato" wood with sterling silver ovals plates to engrave initials. Texturized (simil sand/rocks) bolsters in nickel silver. Bottom and upper sides mirror polished.
Thumbstud is a natural saphire mounted in sterling silver (with a ss screw to fix it to the blade)

Beautiful folder...

not to start a squabble... but your Initials sure look like the once on my Sebenza... ;)

Very nice Ruben !! Redsnake-Ruben has been around since '93,maybe the sebe touchmark looks like his  :D Ruben , what type of material is your bolster made out of and how did you texture it ? Oh I fogot to ask too - Where do you get your jewelry type case & how do you fit your blade to it ?

David,

Don't worry, I already forgave CR... :D ;)

Those bolsters are nickel silver, and I textured them with a dremel and then with a jewerly tool (like a small chisel)

My wife's a jewerler, so I get it through her, and then I've molded the inside to match the shape of the knife and ceramic rod and placed the cover back on top. Then I sent the plaque on top of it (not visible on these pictures) to engrave.

Ruben's handsome folder arrived yesterday and I haven't stopped fondling it since opening the package! This knife is very much to my liking... like the weight, thickness of the blade, lock-up and Ruben put one sharp edge on this devil! Really like the way it feels in my hand! Ruben is one heck of a fine craftsman. Thank you again, Ruben!

Oops! Looks like my nails could use a trim...
