It took over a year and a half to finish these. Not that I worked constantly, but it took forever to plan, then get materials, then I just didn't want to work on them.

As they got closer to done I was more and more afraid I would screw something up and ruin the set.

Ever happen to you?

DAng it. I wouldn't want to use those on round steak .

t bones and Prime Rib only :D :D :D :D :D

I agree, those are US grade AAAAAAAAAAAAA and should only be used on the finest cuts of meat. Beautifully done. What did you use on the maple, stain and sealer??

Bill

I assume the spalted maple is stabilized. Is there any problem with spalted maple as apposed to maple burl ?...And you're guests will say - I don't want to use anything so fancy to cut a steak !

Georgeous, Steve. Tough to make a whole set come out so close alike. Well done. Making a case for them, too??

Thanks guys! They're a little odd, but their my children and I love 'em.

Mr. Hull: There's no golden sections on those blades ;)

Mr. Buxton: The wood was stabilized by K&G, should stay together.

Andrew: Can't buy any steak until they are paid for, then I won't have them to eat the steak!?

Fitzo: I planned on having a laywer make a case for them, but it was too expensive. Really tho, I don't know how. Hoping the new owner can get that done.

Very sweet! I got some nice steaks in the freezer, so just send 'em my way for some Quality Control. :D

P.S. Nice pictures too.

New Owner! Those look like keepers to me. I'd just tell im they got lost in the mail or something. :D That's fine work Steve.

Those are sweet. They deserve the finest freshly butchered USDA Prime Filets for testing. No frozen steaks need apply. They should also come with a nice wooden set of steak plates. I can't stand the thought of someone grinding those fine edges into a porcelan plate..:(
